Designed by the Florentine architect Pier Nicholas Berardi, the swimming pool of the Hotel Villa San Michele on the hills of Fiesole offers a wonderful view of Florence.
Taking into account its historical and environmental context, the pool was designed and built to follow the natural movement of the ground resulting in a small artificial waterfall whose rustling water gently blends with the tranquility of the surroundings. Perugia stone, cut into slabs, was used to give a worn look to the sidewalk perimeter.
